How much does a private boat tour on Lake Como cost?
21 September 2026 · 2 min read

A private boat is priced per boat, not per person, and that single fact explains most of the confusion. A shared group tour charges each seat, so a family of six pays six times. A private cruise has the same base rate for one to six guests, which is why couples compare us to a group ticket and families discover we come out ahead.
The first factor is time on the water. Cruises run from one hour to a full day, and the hourly logic is simple: the longer you stay out, the further down the lake you get and the lower the cost per hour becomes. One hour is a taste of Como and Cernobbio; three hours reach Bellagio and Villa del Balbianello; a full day can cross the lake and back with stops ashore.
The base price covers 1–6 guests. For 7–11 guests the supplement is €50 per hour per boat, not per person. Included pick-ups: Como city, Villa d'Este, Cernobbio, Blevio. Other docks have the supplement shown at checkout; boarding is subject to an accessible, confirmed landing point.
Standard prices for a private tour from Como, for up to six guests, are €350 for one hour, €700 for two, €900 for three, €1,200 for four, €1,500 for five, €1,800 for six, €2,100 for seven and €2,400 for eight hours. Booked at least three days ahead, tours of one to five hours cost less: €300, €600, €800, €1,100 and €1,300. Groups of seven to eleven add €50 per hour for the boat, not per person. Open the online booking page, set the date, the duration, the number of guests and the boarding area, and the price appears before you pay anything, together with the deposit and the balance due on the day. Everything is included: skipper, fuel and the itinerary planning.
If your plan is unusual — a wedding arrival, a proposal at sunset, a transfer with luggage, a full day with two stops — message us and you will get a clear figure back, not a range. The cancellation terms, including what happens in dangerous weather, are shown clearly before you pay.
